Makara Studio on YogaCity !! Woo Hoo!
Really awesome to see our friends, fellow yogis and partners, Makara Studio and its founders (Jonathon Borin and Hannah Harpole) being featured in the YogaCity blog today! A great article that articulated the essence of the founder’s vision for Makara so aptly, a neighborhood studio, ‘with a Big Heart.’ 110% right.

Celebrating Holi, raising money for Odanadi through Yoga and more at Makara Studio, where you come to nourish the body, mind and soul!
It is incredible to see the studio come along – from its inception, to first day of class to seeing packed classes and very shortly, the addition to two new teachers! And of course, coming over to the studio for our ever popular weekly Friday evening Yoga for foodies. And we are priviliged to have had a chance to support donation classes at the studio which have been popular as well (last we checked, more than 50 people have come to the donation classes – woo hoo!)
If you have not yet taken a class at Makara, then i would highly recommend stopping over for one soon. Whether you are a yoga or a pilates newbie or an addict or you just want to loosen your hips and have been considering doing bellydancing, then Makara is your place.
And after class, you can simply walk down a block to treat yourself to some awesome vegan donuts at Dun Well Donuts or grab some organic tea at Cup (both on montrose and bushwick avenue). Or walk down a bit further to NewTowm – the best isreali-middle eastern Hummus and Hummouli Sandwich place on the planet!
Keep on spreading peace, folks! Go Makara!
