Even the Earth had a Fresh Cover of Snow to Celebrate the First Class at Makara Studio
So after the awesome opening night and the high level of turnout and enthusiasm in the local community about the opening of Makara Studio, i was super excited to have the first day of classes at Makara starting with a Yoga class at 9.30 am. And even mother nature had awesome plans – to celebrate the first class, she came down with inches of fresh snow – the first of the season for us new york city dwellers. The freshness in the air just made it totally worth heading in the cold across the williamsburg bridge (the L train got suspended the last minute) and chugging it along to the studio. The reward was an awesome class with the founder – followed by an hr long break and then an awesome pilates class (my first, with the other founder).
Go makara – it was one of the best saturdays in a long time – a yoga class, a pilates class, then some awesome sandwich (something call humouli) at the New Town followed by some healing acupuncture by stephanie proper (yes i have a strain in my right rotator cuff which has been nagging for sometime) that needed some attention.
The studio is now operating its full schedule – and as our partners the studio is are offering donation based classes on behalf of YogaAnywhere – please check the Makara Schedule – bring friends!
